Leonetti Ristorante

ABOUT US

A restaurant, a family, a Roman story

Our restaurant was established in 1989 at 60 Via Farini, in the heart of the Esquilino district, nestled between Termini Station and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. It carries the name of our family, which has always been connected to the world of restaurants. Carmine Leonetti, a Roman of Abruzzo origins who grew up in his family′s trattoria, chose to open his own establishment here with the aim of offering authentic Roman cuisine, made the old-fashioned way.

For over thirty years, we have welcomed Romans, Italian tourists, and international guests who seek a gastronomic point of reference in the center of Rome, far from the standardized and more tourist-centric offers of the area.

THE RESTAURANT

The flavors of the past, the hospitality as always

Leonetti is not just a place to eat well, but a space for conviviality. The atmosphere is lively, warm, and family-like, and we welcome each guest as if they were home. Carmine, a traditional-style host, along with the entire staff, personally takes care of welcoming and service, always putting the customer at the center.

And it is for this reason that many return to visit us whenever they are in Rome, to rediscover the flavors of Roman cuisine and that authentic atmosphere that has always distinguished us.

THE KITCHEN

The traditional dishes, prepared to perfection

Our′s is true Roman cuisine. We prepare the great classics, such as carbonara, amatriciana, and cacio e pepe, with full respect for the original recipes, using Amatriciana guanciale, Roman pecorino and local raw materials. For us, tradition is not a passing fad, but a daily commitment.

Alongside the main courses, we propose the symbolic seconds of Roman cuisine such as Roman-style saltimbocca, oxtail stew, trippa and abbacchio, together with typical side dishes like artichokes and sautéed chicory. The menu is completed with a selection of fresh fish dishes, designed to offer variety and satisfy all tastes.

In the kitchen, we work with passion, guided by Chef Paolo, a true Roman, who brings identity, technique, and respect for tradition to the dishes.
